We pray the truth of God with us will overwhelm you this season…
As we come to the close of 2024, I want to alert you to some new opportunities. Firstly, let us all start the year off right with START RIGHT SUNDAY, January the 5th! Bro. Phil Glisson will be here to challenge us along with his wife who will bless our children with her ventriloquism all during Sunday morning worship at 10:40am. Our classes have all set goals to increase their attendance that day by a significant amount by inviting and contacting friends, as well as church members not presently active in a class. Weather permitting, what a great day this will be to Start Right in God’s house on His Day. Make sure to be here Sunday, January 5th.
Secondly, I invite you to embark on an inspiring journey with from January 5th-April 27th by reading chronologically through a harmony of the gospels: Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. We will provide you with each day’s readings via our website, church app, and Sunday bulletins. Each Sunday, beginning January 12th , I will bring a message in line with what you have been reading. We are calling this, and the entire year’s theme, Thrive in the gospel in 25. Will you thrive in 2025? This journey will propel us all the way to Resurrection-Sunday and beyond to the close of the gospels. Essentially, participants will be reading through the gospels, chronologically, in 90 days.
Finally, look at the list below and see how else you can nurture your walk with the Lord and Thrive in the gospel in 25!
- Pursuit Men’s Study on Wednesday evenings beginning Wednesday January 8th (8 weeks)
- Women’s study “For the Sake of the Faith,” verse-by-verse through Titus beginning Wednesday January 8th (8 weeks)
- New 55 and under couples/ co-ed class to start first Sunday in February (classroom off of gym lobby)
- All of January we will receive contributions through Birth Choice’s bottles for life campaign—fill up a bottle with cash or change to help fund the nurturing of women and the unborn!
- Launching Bible Drill for 3rd thru 6th grade, interest meeting January 5th after church.
- Youth Conference at Trimble Baptist Church January 17th & 18th
As you consider these God-given, church-based opportunities, remember the Word of God through Paul, “For a great and effective door has opened to me, and there are many adversaries” (1 Cor 16:9). Along with opportunities for significant spiritual and numerical growth will come resistance. May each of us be found faithful. Also, as we watch our new worship center be built, may we allow Christ to build His church (people) through each one of us!
