Old Friendship Baptist Church

Dear Church Family,

Greetings in the Amazing Grace of God!  2025 is well underway and I hope you are thriving in the gospel, especially as you read through the harmonized gospel readings with us!  In addition to these readings, we are preaching selected passages in Mark’s gospel on Sunday mornings and evenings.  Even if you’re late to the game, jump in and be blessed!  Another blessing is seeing the church built!  Jesus builds it each week as we see new faces, salvations, and baptisms.  It’s also exciting to see the new meeting place being built that will house His church!

We also wanted to highlight some more exciting opportunities here at Old Friendship:

  • We have a new co-ed Sunday school class focused on the 30s through the mid-50s.  Jeff Brewington teaches this new class, which is already running double digits.
  • Our annual Wild Game Supper for all ages is a month away (March 14th) and will feature Dr. Mike Spradlin, President of Mid- America Seminary, We will eat some of the best tasting assortment of wild game in this part of the country.  Come hear Dr. Mike share Jesus and tell about his best hunting adventure.
  • Pray for our mission team, which heads to Brazil March 22-29.  Please support us through your prayers and gifts.
  • Pray for our women’s conference at Pickwick, February 21-22.
  • All teens are invited to the Youth Evangelism Conference on March 15th at Union University (bus leaves church at 1:00 PM).
  • Our Equip Now classes begin in March on Wednesday evenings from 7:00-8:00.  Our main class will be “Christian Doctrine for Every Man.”
  • Our Senior Adults have a luncheon with the the Madison-Chester Association at Friendship Baptist, Beech Bluff on March 4th at 10:30 AM.

In addition, do not forget to set your clocks forward on the evening of March 8th so you will not miss Sunday school!  Above all, let us “pursue righteousness, faith, love, peace with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart” 2 Tim. 2:22b),

Yours and His,

Dr. Ashley
