Old Friendship Baptist Church

Dear Old Friendship Family,

Summer has launched with its usual busy days that seem to fly by. We had a strong VBS that is still producing the fruit of children coming to faith in Jesus! I want to encourage all of us to pick out a new family and make it a point to keep up with what is happening in their lives, seeking to minister to them. It is certainly ok if we double up!

I also want to encourage you to be faithful when you are in town this summer.  We all need vacations, but we all need to stay firmly planted in the church as well.

Finally, below are some events/opportunities through which to keep serving and enjoying the Lord at Old Friendship this summer:

  • New Ladies’ study from Robert S. McGee’s Search for Significance Workbook begins tonight, led by Christina Brooks and Chrystal Richerson at 7 P.M.
  • New Adrian Rogers’ Study begins tonight, entitledThe Incredible Power of Kingdom Authority (video in fellowship hall)
  • Pray for Children attending Centrikid this weekend
  • Church-Wide Fish Fry at Luke and Becky Weaver’s on June 29th at 5 P.M.
    (weather-permitting)
  • Senior Youth fellowship at Justin and Dusti Moody’s house on June 25th, 5 P.M.-8 P.M.
  • Glow Worship hosted by our Youth Ministry, July 25th, 6 P.M.
  • New Christians’ class during Sunday school, July 27-August 17
  • Back to School Bash, July 30, 6:30 P.M.-8 P.M.

Finally, remember that on Sunday mornings we will be continuing our Heroes of the Faith series through the Old Testament, including looking at the lives of Joseph, Moses, Ester, Joshua, Caleb, Deborah, and more!

Praying for His Church,

Dr. Ashley Ray
