Old Friendship Baptist Church

As I write this final pastoral letter for the year, my heart is full.  Christmas is about fullness!  “In the fullness of time, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman…”(Gal. 4:4a).  This is the fullness of God keeping HIs promises to send the Savior! There is also the fullness of gratitude that we at Old Friendship should have for the bountiful blessings He has poured out on our growing church family. There are the new members, new Christians, new classes, new opportunities, and a new building that is weeks away from completion. Most of all, however, there is something old…  “the old old story of Jesus and HIs love.” “But thanks be to God for HIs indescribable gift!” (2 Cor. 9:15). And friends, His gift never gets stale or tarnished!

May the blessings of HIs grace and presence bring you fullness of joy this season.

Also, please look ahead as we begin to fill up 2026 with helping our members walk with the Lord! Let us not tell God our plans; rather, let us seek God’s plan with an asking heart. Please see below for some important dates where we have intentionally scheduled opportunities to seek our great God and His will for our lives.

Finally, after prayer and thought, I want to place a focus before us for 2026: Joy in Our Journey.

Filled with Love for You,

Your Pastor,

Bro. Ashley
